PanPoint is an iPad-based PowerPoint remote to control and enhance PowerPoint presentations. PanPoint significantly changes the way of PPT presentation. Traditionally during a presentation, the speaker uses a combination of several tools to give the talk:
1.A laser beam pointer pen
2.A hardware remote to move between the slides
3.A white board to put down additional notes or figures for specific slides
4.A clock to notify how much time the speaker has used
5.A separate sheet of notes (not intended to show to the audience) for the slides
By leveraging PanPoint, an iPad becomes a perfect tool to integrate all these functionalities.
Configuration
The PanPoint presentation system consists of 2 parts:
1.A Windows XP/Vista/7 based PanPoint Server residing on a PC which connects to the projector
2.The PanPoint iPad app to perform the control
**The two components communicate though WiFi.
Before the presentation the coordinator launches the server and loads the PPT files. Then the speaker uses PanPoint on iPad to:
•Access the the PanPoint Server through WiFi and retrieve the PPT files.
